Several variations of console woodgrain were used. E-body console woodgrain was printed on adhesive paper, then covered with the clear ticking decal. Present-day woodgrain decals, which we use, are a high-quality print on adhesive vinyl with built-in ticking.
Color variations also existed for console woodgrain. 1970 E-body console wood was a unique reddish, light brown, called "Kashmir Walnut".
1971-1974 wood was a dark brown, for E-body and B-body. It was called "American Walnut".
At this time, only dark brown walnut woodgrain is available for any console.
Hardware is also available to solve the problem of stripped door hinge studs.
Instructions are included for X-acto knife precise trimming of our pre-cut B- and E-body wood edges.
Installation instructions include removal of the old woodgrain, repair advice for door hinge retainers, and restoration of console top parts.
