Do-It-Yourself

B-body/E-body Shifter Console Woodgrain
(1970-74 Barracuda/Cuda, Challenger; 71-74 Charger, Coronet, Super Bee, GTX, Road Runner, Satellite)

Install woodgrain within a few days of receipt, as it shrinks till put on. No returns.
Several variations of console woodgrain were used. E-body console woodgrain was printed on adhesive paper, then covered with the clear ticking decal. Present-day woodgrain decals, which we use, are a high-quality print on adhesive vinyl with built-in ticking.
Color variations also existed for console woodgrain. 1970 E-body console wood was a unique reddish, light brown, called "Kashmir Walnut".
1971-1974 wood was a dark brown, for E-body and B-body. It was called "American Walnut".
At this time, only dark brown walnut woodgrain is available for any console.
Hardware is also available to solve the problem of stripped door hinge studs.
Installation instructions include removal of the old woodgrain, repair advice for door hinge retainers, restoration of console top parts, and precise X-acto knife trimming around wood edges. These decals are deliberately cut over-sized because this vinyl shrinks until it is applied. Additionally, more than one plate-size exists, and some reproduction plates do not match the original Chrysler plates. Delicate, precise trimming is required. All openings are pre-cut.
